Contractor Agreement & Policies

Please read and answer each section carefully and provide your signature when you have completed filling out the form.

Contractors agree to do the following when performing services or training for Tricks For Treats Jax:

Articles A.

  1. Send a copy of all scheduling cancellations, alterations, and additions to tricksfortreatsjax@gmail.com, with the dog’s first and last name in the subject of the email and the specific service + alteration/date changed to and from in the body of the email.

  2. Outside of matters related to animal safety or personal safety, allow Tricks For Treats Jax’s manager a 2-week notice to make significant scheduling changes such as discontinuing services for a client, trips, major availability/schedule changes, etc. If the contractor falls ill or experiences an ailment that does not allow them to provide a 2-week notice, the contractor must notify a Tricks For Treats Jax manager 24 hours (1 day) before any booking or assignment, this is to allow Tricks For Treats Jax to assign someone to take over the booking/assignment in place of the contractor and to allow a Tricks For Treats Jax manager to notify the client of a change in schedule or replacement.

  3. Read and respond to all messages from clients and Tricks For Treats Jax managers within 24 hours, unless a client request requires a Tricks For Treats Jax manager’s approval.

  4. In the event of anticipated or actual lateness for any service, alert both the client via email + text and Tricks For Treats Jax manager via email + Text.

  5. All job tasks, scheduling changes, communications, and bookings, are to be performed through the Wix Tricks For Treats Jax Website/Dashboard, or the Wix owner app with a Tricks For Treats Jax’s manager’s permission.

  6. When arriving at a client’s location email and text Tricks For Treats Jax your time of arrival, client's name, client’s dog name, send your location via Google Maps, and provide a live/current photo of your location. (Ex: Arrival 10:00, John Doe - Scruffy,1234 ABC Street, live photo of the front door containing client’s home number or dog)

  7. When departing a client’s location email and text Tricks For Treats Jax a time of departure and the client's name. (Ex: Departure 11:00, John Doe - Scruffy)

  8. All services/training sessions are paid per booking on the Tricks For Treats Jax Wix calendar, not per hour. No additional pay will be provided should a contractor stay longer.

  9. The contractor will provide Training, Walks, Drop-In visits, Marketing, or tasks specified by a Tricks For Treats Jax manager.

  10. In the event of a contract termination: The contractor must return or ship all provided supplies and materials in the condition they were received within two (2) weeks following the termination of contract. If the tools or materials are not returned- or returned damaged/rendered unusable, the contractor will be held responsible financially for the replacement costs of every item damaged/not received.

  11.  In the event of a contract termination: the contractor must remove all public association with Tricks For Treats Jax unless explicitly given permission otherwise, the contractor will not contact, solicit, or make any effort to communicate with any pending or current clients of Tricks For Treats Jax for 1 year following the date of contract termination.

  12. In the event of a contract termination, the contractor must give 2 weeks of notice, and ensure they will not have any clients assigned to them for any Tricks For Treats Jax Services by the set termination date. (Ex: I plan to end our contract on xx/xx/xxxx date, and will have completed all my assigned clients by this date.)

  13. In the event of a contract termination without notice, or completion of assigned clients: The contractor is responsible for All lost funds from the termination date to the client's completion date (Ex: The contractor has terminated the contract without notice and the client has three weeks left in the program) the contractor will be billed for the remainder of the client's contract or until Tricks For Treats Jax finds reasonable coverage to replace the contractor's responsibilities.

  14. In the event of a contract termination without notice or completion of assigned clients: The contractor will be held responsible for any costs incurred by Tricks For Treats Jax due to the termination of the contract including but not limited to: Client reimbursement, Flights, Housing, external hiring (rover/wag), Lost revenue from incomplete client assignments.

  15. The contractor must act/perform in a way that is kind, professional, presentable and does not diminish, discredit, offend, or harm Tricks For Treats Jax's employees, clients, company, brand, image, or standing.

  16. ​In the event of a contract termination, the contractor will not disclose Tricks For Treats Jax's training methods, pricing, program details, tools, employee information/details, or client information/details following termination of contract.

  17. The contractor must understand and agree that this contract can be terminated at any time for a violation of any of the contained or expressed policies in this contract.

For services that involve pick-up, drop-off, training, and/or a temporary stay in a client’s home:

Articles B.

  1. Treat a client's home and property with care and respect behave in a professional manner at all times

  2. Assume that your behavior can be seen, heard, and recorded at any time while in or around a client's home

    do not allow any persons or dogs other than yourself onto a client's property or in a client's home without explicit permission

  3. Follow all guidance left by the client in Wix, including home entry and security, animal feeding, medications, method of correction, and containment

  4. Send clients a brief text to tell them that service has started

  5. Allow the client's dog the opportunity to pee and/or poop before a training session

  6. Never transport a client's dog by any method aside from walking. No vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, etc.

  7. Never physically strike, abuse, neglect, or harm an animal in any way. Follow all Tricks For Treats Jax’s and the client's outlines for the care and treatment of animals.

  8. In case of an emergency with a client's dog, you may transport the dog to the listed emergency vet in the client's care & information forms on Wix. Call, then email a Tricks For Treats Jax manager to report the situation, a manager will contact the client. Contractors are not to contact the client in this case unless explicitly instructed otherwise.

  9. In case of a client experiencing a medical emergency: contact 911, then call a manager to report the situation.

  10. Notify both the client and a Tricks For Treats Jax Manager if an animal appears sick or injured in any way, or if there has been a notable physical or behavioral change. A Tricks For Treats Jax manager will immediately request that the client take their dog to the vet and services/training will be paused until the vet clears the dog of any illnesses or ailments.

  11. Refrain from alcohol, drug use, and cigarette smoking while in the presence of clients and client dogs. Be completely sober from drugs and alcohol while in the presence of clients and client dogs.

  12. If for any reason you must abandon an in-home, or overnight assignment/client/clients dog while actively performing the assignment, you must contact a Tricks For Treats Jax Manager, and request that another Tricks For Treats Jax Employee Cover your assignment.
